Our
ambition

Wind of change

Our goal is to create a future where an abundance of renewable energy is an increasingly larger part of the energy mix – established by Blåse, appreciated by future generations.

Our consortium is five complementary partners, NorSea Group, Parkwind, CIP, Hammerfest Energi og Varanger Kraft, each bringing their own human approach and know-how to offshore development.

Offshore wind is for everyone, but it always starts with the local community. As no two offshore wind farms are created equal, Utsira North is set to be the first of its kind. A floating windfarm grounded in local content – connecting Norway’s energy heritage with a future in wind energy.

Norway has a unique legacy in offshore energy production that can be leveraged to gain a global leadership position in offshore wind. To the benefit of local companies and communities along the coast.

Our joint experience makes us well prepared for the task at hand; develop, build, and operate one of the world’s most modern offshore wind farms, using maximizing Norwegian supply chains and decades of local maritime heritage combined with a global portfolio of offshore wind projects.

Blåse is about energy transition and job transformation. A partnership built on competence, trust and a shared vision for Norway’s energy future.

Utsira North is an (up to) 750 MW offshore wind farm project located off the coast of Norway.

It will be the first of its kind, set on floating foundations, off the coast of the island of Utsira, making it a true technological beacon/triumph. The project’s success is expected to have far-reaching implications, not just for Norway and the local communities but for the entire renewable energy industry.

One of Blåse’s primary objectives is to maximize local value creation, thru the development of local supply chains and long-term employment. This is how we have always operated across our individual project portfolios. We understand the full potential of offshore wind projects and their economic ripple effects in the Norwegian economy. The project will also benefit from the financial strength of the consortium’s members including Norway’s KLP.

Utsira North is predicted to produce enough energy to power an equivalent of up to 900,000 households.
